New Year with a New Heart

Hey guys!

I have amazing news! Last night, January 1st, I accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior!

(Before continuing, if you are a new member of the blog family, I would recommend going back and reading Just Be Honest by clicking the link)

You might be asking, well why or how did I make this decision, right? Well I actually finished the book of John last night because I was just so drawn to it. After reading, I realized that I needed to make a decision: Do I believe this or do I think everything in this book called the Bible are just false stories?

Well I have come to the conclusion that nothing in the Bible is false! Jesus says he only speaks the truth and I  believe that! Jesus came to earth to save me from my sins. He came to save you from your sins. He came to save the WHOLE WORLD from their sins!

I believe that Jesus Christ is God’s Son and that he died for me on the cross to save me from my sins and then he rose again on the third day and he is coming back again!

I am just so excited to share this news with you! Also, I will be trying to read the Bible and pray everyday. (Emma, from Cheerful Chitchats has helped me realize just how important it is to stay strong in His Word and be in a relationship with him.) When I can, I might share what I have read with you all. This was my verse today:

This is real love- not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as a sacrifice to take away our sins.

1 John 4:10

Let me take you through how my morning will be now:

  1. Wake up (Pray. Slay.) 🙂
  2. Pick up the Bible and read at least one verse
  3. Write that verse on a note card
  4. Summarize what the verse is saying in a notebook
  5. Pray and thank Jesus for what he has done and what it speaks about in the passage
  6. Repeat/read the verse over and over throughout the day and really find a connection that can be used in everyday life

So I am just so excited to start this new life, and at the beginning of the new year, too! I am so thankful for what Jesus has done for me and I want to share it with everyone! Guys, God love you sooooo much and he wants to share that love with you!

Until next time, I encourage you to dive deep into His Word and begin your relationship with Him today! 🙂
